According to the Public Relations Department of University of Mazandaran, the international Chinese language event was hosted by Shenyang Normal University in Urumqi, China in April 1403.
Based on this report, University of Mazandaran, along with University of Tehran, participated as representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran at this event, which was attended by universities from 8 countries around the world.
Goltaj Sadeghi, the head of the International Cooperation Development Department and the acting supervisor of Chinese language learners at Mazandaran University, who attended this event, said: The number of participants from University of Mazandaran was 22, and they were sent to this event with the financial support of the Confucius Institute, completely free of charge.
He added: During the opening ceremony of the Chinese language event, Professor Yu Yunfeng, the director of the Shanghai Cooperation and Language Education Center, described the Chinese language as a bridge to bring lovers of this language closer together and promote peace and friendship. He expressed hope that this event would pave the way for mutual understanding and deeper connections among people around the world, especially countries along the historic Silk Road.
The head of the International Cooperation Development Department of University of Mazandaran stated that University of Mazandaran's Chinese language learners actively participated in the opening ceremony programs, including carrying the flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran and cultural singing groups. He emphasized that University of Mazandaran's presence alongside Tehran University demonstrates the extensive interactions and programs of this university with Chinese universities, facilitated through the Confucius Institute.
Goltaj Sadeghi also announced the presence of 2 Chinese professors at University of Mazandaran over the past 5 years and said: With the presence of these Chinese resident professors at University of Mazandaran, many interested language learners in Mazandaran province have learned Chinese.
Referring to one of the institute's programs, the annual gathering of language learners from around the world, he added: Language learners who have successfully passed the level of Chinese language that the institute focuses on participated for free in the annual event.
It is worth mentioning that in the gathering of Chinese language learners, Dr. Mehriyar, the scientific attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran Embassy in Beijing, was also present and attended the University of Mazandaran delegation after the ceremony.
