According to the public relations report of Mazandaran University, Dr. Jamal Ghasemi, vice president of research and technology of the university, announced the presence of 8 members of the university's academic staff in the list of top two percent of the most cited researchers in the world based on citations in the period from 1960 to 2023.
According to this report, Dr. Ghasemi added: The latest update of the list of Stanford University was published in Shahrivar 1403 (September 2024). This list is based on the latest findings of the joint project of Elsevier (Scopus database) and a group of researchers from Stanford University. In this report, two lists of highly cited researchers of the top two percent of the world are published. The difference between these two lists is analyzed in the time frame of citations: in one of the declared lists, the time frame of received citations is one year, and in the other list, the time frame of received citations is considered from 1996 to 2023, which is introduced under the title of period list.
