19 faculty members of Mazandaran University in the list of most cited researchers in the top 2 percent of the world in 2023

According to the public relations report of Mazandaran University, Dr. Jamal Ghasemi, vice president of research and technology of the university, announced the presence of 19 members of the university's academic staff in the list of the top two percent of the world's most cited researchers in 2023.

  Dr. Ghasemi, pointing out that the main basis of this evaluation is the citation index and the condition for researchers to enter the evaluation process is to publish at least five articles in the Scopus citation database, added: the last updated version of the list of top two percent most cited researchers in the world in September 1403 September 2024) has been published. This list is based on the latest findings of a joint project of Elsevier Publishing (based on the Scopus database) and a group of researchers at Stanford University. In this study, the citation performance of the authors for their published research outputs in 2023 was analyzed in 22 main subject areas and 176 sub-areas, and based on this, the authors who were among the most cited researchers in the top two percent of the world were introduced.

   Based on the announced results, we see a 36% increase in the number of Mazandaran University faculty members in this list compared to last year. While the list of highly cited researchers of two percent of the country's universities has a 9 percent growth compared to last year. These impressive results are the result of the continuous efforts of the Research and Technology Vice-Chancellor in the field of scientometrics, improving the quality of the outputs and increasing the visibility of the research activities of the academic staff of the university.

​​​​​​​   According to the announced list, 19 members of the scientific faculty of Mazandaran University named Dr. Hossein Jafari, Dr. Behrouz Maleki, Dr. Mostafa Eslami, Dr. Mehdi Nematzadeh, Dr. Ali Behari, Dr. Musa Ghaemi, Dr. Ahmad Ali Rabi Netaj Darzi, Dr. Behzad Islampanah, Dr. Heshmat Elah Alinejad, Dr. Milad Ghani, Dr. Korosh Nowzari, Dr. Jahanbakhsh Raouf, Dr. Shahram Ghasemi Mir, Dr. Mahmoud Tajbakhsh, Dr. Reza Ojani, Dr. Morteza Gurbanzadeh Ahangari, Dr. Jafar Sadeghi, Dr. Mohammad Gholami, Dr. Amin Qadi among the top 2 percent of highly cited researchers. were placed in the world.
