Improving the rank of University of Mazandaran in the global ranking system of UI Green Metric in 2022

According to this report, with the aim of promoting sustainability in higher education, since 2010, the University of Indonesia has evaluated and ranked the world's top universities based on criteria and indicators related to environmental issues in universities. In this ranking system, it is important to try to have, maintain and develop a green university. In fact, what is measured in this ranking is the position of the university in preserving the environment and its effect on the sustainability of the environment. Among the ranking indicators of UI Green Metric are 6 criteria of infrastructure (15%), energy and climate change (21%), waste management (18%), water consumption (10%), transportation (18%) and education.
