Director of OISC:
Dear International Students, Welcome to University of Mazandaran!
In this video, The Director of the Office of International and Scientific Cooperation (OISC) of University of Mazandaran, Dr. Mahmood Azizi, welcomes international students and congratulates them on the start of the new semester for them.
Dr. Mahmood Azizi, Director of OISC:
I’m very happy to witness the ever-growing number of international students. For the last few years, University of Mazandaran has improved its educational standards and infrastructure to a large extent in order to host students from neighboring countries such as Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Iraq, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, and several other countries. University of Mazandaran, like many other Iranian universities, has been holding its classes online since March 2020. However, as soon as the pandemic is over, the students can attend their classes at UMZ’s gorgeous campus. Since the quality of education for us at University of Mazandaran is of the highest importance, we have decided to implement strict measures in recruiting international students.
Those applicants who wish to do a program in English, need to show their proficiencies by taking exams such as IELTS and TOEFL, and those who want to do a program in Persian, need to either submit a SAMFA Persian language certificate or take part in Persian language learning classes. Persian language classes are held regularly at the Persian Language Center (PLC) of University of Mazandaran.
Now at UMZ, we have more than 300 international students and this number is in addition to those students studying at Persian Language Center (PLC). Our university is doing its best to offer Bachelor, Master’s, and Ph.D. programs at very affordable prices and I am confident that our new international students will have very great experience participating in our online classes as well. Please do visit our Persian, English, and Arabic websites in order to get more information. Thank you very much.
