We Hope that youll have a Fun and Safe Chaharshanbe Suri

Chaharshanbe Suri is an Iranian annual festival which is celebrated on the eve of the last Wednesday before Nowruz (the Persian New Year day). Its main features are lighting fire and jumping on it, spoon-banging, etc. This celebration is usually the first celebration of a series of Nowruz celebrations related to the beginning of the new solar year. Chaharshanbe Suri is celebrated in various countries within the sphere of Iranian culture and civilization such as Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, etc.

OISC of UMZ wishes you a very merry Chaharshanbe Suri and good health and happiness. Please bear in mind that Coronavirus Pandemic is far from over; practice this ancient tradition with outmost caution. You may preferably want to stay at home and read poems of Hafiz, Saadi, etc. Chaharshanbe Suri is a gateway to Nowruz and so Happy Nowruz too.
