Two professors of the Department of City Planning of the University of Mazandaran spent nearly one month at the German universities of Dortmund, Duisburg and Essen
According to the Office of the International and Scientific Cooperation (OISC), Dr. Iradj Asadi, Head of the Department of City Planning of the University as well as Mr. Mohammad Reza Haqjoo attended workshops, seminars, and classes at the above mentioned universities from mid June to mid July 2016. During their stay, they came to know more about the teaching and research methods as well as the latest achievements regarding city planning in Germany. It is noteworthy that the three universities of Dortmund, Duisburg and Essen are rated as the best when it comes to city planning ad architecture in Germany. The University of Dortmund, however, enjoys world fame for its new and innovative approach to the issues of modern architecture and city planning.
During their stay, they were also able to hold a number of meetings with the officials of the Faculties of the City Planning in order to make it possible to have more mutual cooperation in the field of city planning.
It is hoped that in near future University of Mazandaran and these universities can sign MoU’s that can further enhance bilateral collaboration.
